The wedding day is a HUGE day for most brides, who often end up frazzled and a bundle of nerves. Here’s how to do it right!
Pack Food and Drink — Many brides try to cut back on food in the days leading up to their wedding, but on the day of the wedding itself, you MUST have something to eat. Remember that the day is going to start VERY early in the morning, and it’s going to be a long day of hair, makeup, getting dressed, sitting around waiting, saying your vows, enduring the toasts, and waiting for that wedding dinner to finally be served. If you haven’t had anything to eat, you’re going to be starving by the time the meal rolls around.
Pack a few snacks–something light, quick, and easy to eat. A few sandwiches (nothing that can get soggy!), granola bars, cookies, and veggie sticks will make the perfect packed lunch. Also, make sure to have plenty of water on hand. You’re likely to get dehydrated because you’re so busy you forget to drink. If you have something with a bit of alcohol (a beer, a bit of wine, etc.), it can help to take the edge off–just don’t overdo it!
Have a Playlist Made — You’re in for a long day of getting ready for the wedding, so you’re going to need music to keep you pumped up. Get a playlist of your favorite workout songs, a few songs to jazz you up, and some tunes that will help you relax when you’re feeling jittery.
If you need a bit of time to relax, consider bringing an audiobook as well. It will help you kick back and take a moment for yourself.
