Wedding Trends for 2016 Part 1

2015 was an amazing year for weddings, but it looks like this will be an even better one! Here are a few brand new wedding trends for 2016:

Drone photography — Thanks to the popularity of remote controlled drones, wedding photographers are now able to take some pretty amazing photographs! If you want awesome shots of your venue, your entire wedding party, or even the gorgeous panorama from an angle your photographer can’t get, consider hiring a photographer with a camera drone. Totally worth it!

Real flowers — Floral arrangements are one of the most important parts of any wedding, but real flowers can be pricey and hard to keep in good condition in the heat and cold. However, thanks to modern technology, it’s easier than ever to keep your flowers from wilting. Artificial floral arrangements and centerpieces are a thing of the past, and real flowers are cheaper than ever.

Rustic venues and décor — It’s amazing how many people are planning to get married in a barn, a speakeasy, or a remote mountaintop venue in 2016! Drinks will be served in mason jars, the décor will be classic and rustic, and everything will be much simpler. There will still be plenty of traditional weddings, but the number of unique, rustic weddings is going to increase.

Fruit-heavy bouquets — This may sound like an unusual trend, but it became immensely popular near the end of 2015–and will continue into the next year. These natural, minimalist bouquets come with fruits, vegetables, and other edible ingredients that add color and texture to basic floral bouquets. Talk about creative!

In Part 2 of this post, we’ll take a look at a few more amazing wedding trends for 2016…
